The native House of Leoš Janáček

The former elementary school at the gateway to the park is the original birthplace of Leoš Janáček. Here he was born 3.7.1854 in the family of local Patriot and teachers as the thirteenth descendant. The house you can recognise easily upon a plaque with a relief of the world-famous composer placed on his wall. A memorial plaque was unveiled in 1926.

In this building is since 2. July 2004 open Memorial Hall and Gallery of Leoš Janáček, in which are changing exhibitions, and in June 2005 here was opened information centre.
